No bed does storage better than an ottoman. Ottomans use the whole underside of the mattress platform as storage, with a lift-up mattress base to keep your bedding, clothes, shoes, game sleeves, and other bits and bats out of sight.
Although you’ll pay anywhere from 10-20% more for an ottoman versus a standard divan base, the extra storage space is well worth the money, especially if you have a small bedroom and want to de-clutter.
