Not Everyone Born Handsome But this Doesn’t Mean you will stay unattractive.
Let’s face it: not all men are born with good looks and charm. In fact, many guys have neither. But does this mean that you are destined to spend your life alone in your apartment, where only your dog and TV series will keep you company? Absolutely not.
The truth is that while appearance matters—for both men and women—it’s not the most important thing when it comes to finding a partner. Sexual attractiveness is made up of many different factors, from your scent to the shape of your jaw to the color of the shirt you’re wearing.
Here are a few techniques (scientifically backed, by the way) that will help you attract the partner of your dreams in a club, in a park, on a website or in a dating app.
Make her laugh
Everyone wants a partner who understands their sense of humor. If you are the “fun” one among your friends, take advantage of this. A 2006 study published in Evolution and Human Behavior asked participants how much they valued their partner’s ability to make them laugh, and the results showed that women actually value humor. So this is a very attractive quality.
Put on your sunglasses
Sunglasses make guys look sexier; fashion researcher Vanessa Brown from Nottingham Trent University explains that they give a man a mysterious appearance: “The eyes are such a huge source of information; and the absence of this information attracts women to you. They want to know more about the man behind the dark glass.”
Be kinder
A 2016 study conducted by the University of Guelph and the University of Nipissing involved 800 people; the authors attempted to clarify the relationship between altruism, attraction, and sex. Participants were asked about their sex lives, as well as how often they performed selfless acts, such as doing charity work or donating blood. It turned out that people who do more good things have sex more often.
Wear cologne
Women find men attractive who wear men’s perfume or eau de toilette. This is not due to pheromones or natural odors, at least according to an article published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science. Participants who were sprayed with cologne felt more confident and it made them look prettier.
Even when a group of women were shown videos of men wearing perfume without sound, they rated them as sexier than guys who didn’t use this simple hack. This means that when you feel sexier and more confident, women pick up on it.
Eat more garlic
Garlic? Yes, garlic. We were skeptical, too, but a 2016 study from Appetite found that while your breath is somewhat worse, your body odor somehow becomes more interesting. So give it a try, but don’t forget to brush your teeth afterwards. This dentist who does dental implants in Chattanooga TN also recommends flossing and using a mouthwash to ensure that all the garlic is gone
Travel with an entourage
If you’re heading into town, take a few buddies with you. According to a study conducted by the University of California, San Diego, people look more attractive in group photos than in solo photos.
According to the researchers, this is due to the so-called “support group effect.” People appear more attractive in groups because when viewed together, faces appear more similar to the group average, which can help “level out” one person’s unattractive idiosyncrasies. (This does not, however, apply to dating apps, where group photos should never be used).
